Training and Testing for Advisors

This training is designed to equip advisors with the skills necessary to review students' Academic Requirements and to work with Exceptions and Milestones on students' academic reports. Training is entirely online and self-paced; Advisors will not need to attend classes in person or via Zoom.

  1. Complete the Academic Requirements training.

  2. Complete the Academic Requirements Quiz. At the end of the quiz, specify the programs, plan codes and/or milestones for which you need access. Graduations will put in a temporary access request with Crimson Service Desk. 

  3. Contact your Department’s access approval authority and ask them to approve the access request with Crimson Service Desk (via email to crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu). Access lasts for one week.

  4. Once your access comes through, complete the Exception and Milestones training while following along in myWSU.

  5. Complete the Exception and Milestones Quiz. Graduations will receive a notification and notify Crimson Service Desk to switch you to permanent access.

AR Drop-in Q&A Sessions

  • Session Zoom Link

  • Zoom-based assistance with Academic Requirement reports

  • Available weekly every Wednesday 3-4pm, with the exception of university holiday weeks

  • Zoom room remains open during the hour for anyone to drop in

  • Available for questions about issues such as:

    • AR technical issues and general questions

    • Accessing AR report types and What-if reports

    • Grad Tracking and degree conferral

    • Exceptions and milestones

    • "GER to UCORE crosswalk" and "Honors to UCORE crosswalk"

  • We are also happy to discuss curriculum change approval process, forms, timelines, etc.
